Me: Duke Montrose. Thank you for meeting with me.

Artie: Attempts a polite smile. My secretary gave me no choice.

M: Mmmm. A bit grumpy tonight?

A: Rubs at his eyes. My apologies, Miss Jacks. It was a rather tiresome day.

M: Anything noteworthy?

A: Considers me. My life as a duke is not especially eventful.

M: And your life as The Dandy?

A: Narrows his eyes. "I know not what you refer to."

M: Artie. Gives him a look.

A: You cannot act like this is just common knowledge. Some things must remain quiet.

M: Is that coming from your need for privacy or your love of secrecy?

A: Do you always speak with people like this?

M: When I know them well, yes.

A: And you know me well?

M: Not as well as I will when I meet your lady.

A: Interest is piqued. You have yet to meet her?

M: I know where to find her.

A: Mind telling me?

M: She would kill you if you met her a moment too soon.

A: A severe woman?

M: In the best way.

A: Brilliant.

M: I agree. Anything you want to tell readers?

A: Stay out of my business, and I'll stay out of yours.

M: Artie.

A: It has been a pleasure. Feel free to reach out once more when you locate my lady love. Cheers.
